One of the things I talked about in yesterday's episode was that a primary difference between doing your vlogging on, say, a smartphone or a tablet, or even a GoPro, versus a professional DSLR or a higher end video camera is that with the mobile devices, you can't get enough of that background blur effect because the sensor sizes are so small.

So good, in fact, that I think this just became my new camera app of choice for all of my business vlog content! As you can see, it's pretty darn good at software-level bokeh blurring. However, someone just came out with a mobile camera app that gives your device this capability now! In this episode, I've used that app to record and edit the initial footage. The reason is that the mobile devices have tiny sensors.
iOS has Portrait Mode that lets you generate this effect for photos, but it doesn't apply to video.
